Programme Note

If music be the food of love, play on…

Our concert of choral music on the theme of love and romance starts with 16th century madrigals of Josquin and Lassus. We move via Elgar and Finzi to songs by contemporary composers John Rutter, Eric Whitacre and Ola Gjeilo. Selected readings on our chosen theme will complement the music.
