Clemens Non Papa Consort

Programme Note

Thrilling solos, duets and trios of the 17th and 18th Centuries from composers such as Handel, Bononcini (UK premiere), Bassani, Dowland, Brevi, Carissimi, Charpentier and Luzzaschi.

Rediscovering Early Music, Clemens non Papa Consort was formed in 2004 with the purpose to perform music of the Renaissance, Baroque and Classical Periods with musicians on the cusp of their professional careers. With a focus on repertoire that is rare, undiscovered and under-performed at a very high artistic and professional level the consort has consistently entertained audiences and given young musicians valuable experience and opportunities.
