Programme Note
It’s that time again. Escape the shopping crowds in town and join The Brighton Singers in the lovely Downland village of Ditchling for a couple of hours of beautiful choral pieces for the season.
Last year’s event in the beautiful and historic church of St Margaret’s in the centre of the village was a huge success. So we are revisiting this gorgeous venue with some more fabulous Christmas music.
This year’s programme features a performance of the ever popular Vivaldi Gloria. We’ll also repeat the exciting Three Kings by Jonathan Dove. We include other seasonal items by composers Pearsall, Shaw, Holst, and others.
You will have the opportunity to help us raise the roof when we invite the audience to join in with some well-known carols.
Hamish Dustagheer will play the organ and the whole event is directed by
Nicholas Houghton.
