Programme Note

To celebrate their 20th anniversary Pakefield Singers are delighted to be performing Handel's Messiah in Lowestoft's large and beautiful parish church. Conducted by its founder and Director of Music, Vetta Wise, the performance will feature the well-known Norwich Baroque players (leader Jim O'Toole), organist Tim Patient and soloists from Trinity Laban.

Handel composed his masterpiece in just 24 days in 1743 and Messiah includes some of his most sublime arias and uplifting choruses; indeed the Hallelujah Chorus must be the most recognised piece in English music.  This is sure to be a popular concert.

Tickets are available from Take Note Music Shop, Grove Road, Lowestoft and on the door. Seating is unreserved and doors open at 6.45. Refreshments will be served in the interval. Information line - 01502 573733.  www.pakefieldsingers.com.  Follow us on Facebook.
