Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture sets the scene for an exciting new venture between the Erato Orchestra and the Coulsdon & Purley Festival. Firoze Madon will be performing Beethoven’s 3rd Piano Concerto with the Erato orchestra as part of the prize for winning the Patricia Romero Concerto Cup at this year’s festival. Winner of Rickmansworth Young Musician 2023, Firoze also took part in the BBC Young Musician 2022. For a taste of the treat the November audience will be in for there are links to recordings of this outstanding young pianist playing Chopin and Scriabin on the Erato Orchestra’s website.
Beethoven premiered his 3rd piano concerto and Haydn completes this composer led evening as he directed Symphony No.99 from the piano at its première.
