Programme Note
Johan de Cock returns to the Guild Church of St Martin-within-Ludgate with a varied programme celebrating Beethoven's 250th anniversary, the melodic genius of Schubert and Mendelssohn, the sensual Latin syncopations of Brazillian composer, Ernesto Nazareth; and the early jazz genius of George Gershwin. Situated right in the heart of the City of London, St Martin's is very near to St Paul's Cathedral, the Millenium Bridge, the Tate Modern, the Barbican, as well as Fleet Street; the perfect opportunity to see some sights, enjoy a relaxed piano concert and maybe have a meal in ubercool Farringdon (or even a picnic along the South Bank!)
