Programme Note
Our next concert is a wonderful programme of Haydn and Mozart choral works taking place in St Martin's Church, Epsom. Nelson Mass and Insanae et vanae curae are two of Haydn's most dramatic sacred works. Mozart's Solemn Vespers includes the famous Laudate Dominum which he composed for his own wedding and is performed at many such occasions. Mozart's Ave verum was written 6 months before his death in 1791 and is one of the most beautiful motets ever written.
