We will open with the full orchestra playing the Overture and Dance Scenes from Richard Strauss's magnificent opera Ariadne auf Naxos. The string section will then perform Grieg’s delightful Holberg Suite, followed by the winds with Enescu’s Decet for Winds. The orchestra will then reunite for Fauré’s Pavanne, which some of us will recall being the theme to the 1998 World Cup. St Martin's Church, London DD/MM/YYYY
