A unique opportunity to take part in workshop to learn, rehearse, and perform John Stainer’s The Crucifixion in the location of its first ever performance in 1887.
This event is in association with the Royal School of Church Music who recently published a new edition of The Crucifixion – a copy of this latest score is included in your ticket.
After a workshop led by our former Director of Music Gavin Roberts you will perform alongside our professional choir and organist in the magnificent St Marylebone Parish Church. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day and Professor Jeremy Dibble, Durham University and leading Stainer expert, will provide a fascinating lecture about this latest score of the Crucifixion and Stainer’s life and career before the final performance.

This is a day to celebrate music and connect with others. Tickets will also be available for the lecture and performance, for those wishing to come watch their friends and family perform or to learn more about Stainer’s Crucifixion!
