Programme Note

Bath Camerata, the city’s award-winning chamber choir, performs a concert specially devised for Remembrance Day on the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War. It contains a cappella music with an appropriately elegiac and reflective tone by composers from some of the countries – Britain, Hungary, Russia, France and Germany – caught up in the conflict.

The music is complemented by poetry and prose appropriate to the occasion, read by the much-loved actor Juliet Stevenson.
