Their subjects were love, politics, battles, crime, folk tales, and sensational accounts of monsters and disasters. In this concert the women take centre stage – female soldiers, cunning tricksters, noble heroines, and girls who know what they want and how to get it! Vivien Ellis and The Carnival Band bring these characters vividly to life with an array of instruments, full vocal harmony and an infectious sense of fun. St Mary's Church, Beverley DD/MM/YYYYDetails
