Programme Note
Recently featured artists on BBC Radio 3, the Chroma Harp Duo, Becki Luff and Lucy Nolan, are crafting a name for themselves as commissioners, creators and performers. Drawing and engaging with a wide range of composers, musical styles and sounds, the duo challenges the classical harp stereotype.
Their programme will take the audience on a kaleidoscopic musical journey spanning 200 years. Including ground breaking pieces from the contemporary harp repertoire, their choices balance and contrast classical harp music against the patterns of atonal music, music based on Indian scales and jazz.
Prepare to be amazed and delighted in equal measure!
