Having grown up listening to the likes of Stravinsky, Britten, Richard Strauss and Wagner, here he embraces influences from Baroque composers such as Bach and Handel. Songs of Peace is a remarkable work about love and loss; though, in many ways, it is a very life-affirming work themed around peace, eternity, and love.
