The principle featured work is Louis Vierne’s Messe Solennelle for two organs and choir. The organ of the impressive gothic style St Mary’s New Church provides the grand organ for the work, while the choir organ has been hired especially for the performance. The second half of the concert is dominated by John Rutter’s ever-popular Gloria, during which the choir will be supported by a 10-piece brass band from competition-winning Regent Brass.
