Armonico Consort explores the musical heritage inspired by the Papacy through the extraordinary stories and choral works of Italy’s greatest Renaissance church composers as guest narrators reveal fascinating tales of incredible leadership and faithfulness, balanced with those as hilariously absurd as they are shocking! Joined by the English Cornett and Sackbut Ensemble, groups of choirs and soloists will be placed around the beautiful venues illustrating the stories with music from the greatest Italian church composers including Allegri, Gabrieli and Monteverdi.
