The concert will feature mainly Welsh language repertoire, including three new commissions by contemporary composers and writers:  'Canai Nain' by Cefin Roberts & Einion Dafydd 'Ni fydd Môr rhyngom ni by Penri Roberts & Linda Gittins 'Hawlio Heddwch' by Mererid Hopwood & Eric Jones. This tells the story and sentiment of the Women of Wales peace initiative of 1923 - to the women of the USA. The chest containing the almost 400,000 petitions was returned to the National Library of Wales very recently, after being in the Smithsonian for 100 years.
