Programme Note

Join The Péti Consort as they explore American choral creativity, from 18th Century Anthems by Billings, through works by Barber, Copland and Bernstein, to contemporary pieces by Lauridsen, Whitacre and Larsen.

The overview could, of course, not be complete without Gospel, from its first notations by Harry Burleigh to the concert arrangements by Moses Hogan.

Almost four Centuries of music in a single concert—make sure you don’t miss it!
