The programme also includes several of Gerald Finzi’s partsongs to texts by Robert Bridges, and other works with a floral theme by Wilbye, Guerrero and Eric Whitacre. Lastly, Finzi's 'White-Flowering Days' anticipates jubilee celebrations, as one of ten pieces in 'A Garland for the Queen', commissioned for Her Majesty's coronation in 1953.We are delighted that this concert is being generously sponsored by Fabulous Flowers of Abingdon.
