Programme Note
The Chelmsford Singers present a celebration of European music in the beautiful surroundings of St Michael and All Angels Church in Galleywood in Chelmsford. The programme features composers from across Western Europe from Orlando di Lassus to Claude Debussy, along with folk songs from Sweden and Italy.
The choir will be singing two arrangements by Musical Director James Davy, including a regional debut for his setting of Joseph Canteloube's Baïlèro from Songs of the Auvergne.
The Singers are accompanied by Christopher Strange, Chelmsford Cathedral's very talented organ scholar.
