Programme Note
Sf Sax's repertoire ranges from classical, jazz and swing, to up-to-date contemporary music written especially for saxophone ensemble. Members of the group have also arranged pieces specifically for Sf Sax.
Bass saxophonist Ray Meads said “Project Resound in Blewbury has caught our attention through their goal of installing a bold, contemporary work of art on the subject of bell ringing as the first new window at St Michael’s church for 100 years. It has inspired us to use the 5 bells on our saxophones to bring another sound element into the great acoustics of the village church.”
