Abbeydale Singers acapella chamber choir was formed in 1986 and has grown from a group of around 12 singers to 35 members, with an excellent balance between younger and more experienced voices. Since January 2020 Lucy Joy Morris has been the Musical Director. They perform a hugely varied repertoire of traditional and contemporary choral music, with an enviable reputation for the fine quality of their singing, recognised in 2023 by their success in winning three trophies at the Isle of Man Festival of Choirs, including the prestigious Choir of the Festival
For the Bradfield Festival of Music 2025, Abbeydale Singers’ programme will include works by Hubert Parry, Herbert Howells, Charles Villiers Stanford and Duke Ellington, as well as other lighter works.
