Programme Note
The pianist Nikolaas Kende is in high demand on the international concert stage where he has been praised for his poetic playing and honest, passionate musicality. Since 2015 he has been Professor of Piano at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp.
His longstanding musical partnership with Jolente De Maeyer (also his wife) one of Belgium's leading violinists and an international musician in her own right has resulted in numerous acolades with the duo noted for their 'exceptional synergy and harmony' and 'bringing passion, precision and virtuosity to their performances'.
They will perform works for violin and piano from Bach to Kreisler.
