Programme Note

We are delighted to invite you to our wonderful celebration of music by Prokofiev, Berg, Medtner, Schubert and Tchaikovsky. 

A very special part of this concert is  rarely performed Five poems of Anna Akhmatova, a woman who became one of the Russian most acclaimed writers and a playful “Chatterbox” from “Three Children’s songs” op.68  by Sergei Prokofiev. You will also hear his energetic and virtuoso 3rd Sonata for piano solo.

Second part of the concert will be dedicated to “night” music and include “Die Nachtigall” by Berg, “Die Nacht und Traume” by Schubert and an absolute musical gem - Medtner’s Nocturne.
