Programme Note
For CP Stamitz’s Concerto for 2 Clarinets, Catherine Holland and Mike Russ will swap their violas to play their main instrument - the clarinet. Mike was a music lecturer in Jordanstown and taught many professional musicians over the years, sadly for us he is leaving us for South Wales later in the year.
Mike arranged the well-known Garryowen for us and gives it an interesting twist here.
Jan Faulkner is our Trumpet player for the Haydn Concerto in Eb and has just finished his GCSE's - someone to watch for the future!
