Programme Note

We're marking International Women’s Day 2018 with a Flash Mob performance of the Pankhurst Anthem, commissioned by BBC Radio 3 and written and composed by two of Emmeline Pankhurst's descendants, Helen Pankhurst and Lucy Pankhurst.
100 years ago, women like Emmeline and Christabel Pankhurst were part of a movement that changed the world for future generations of women.
That movement is still happening and 2018 is a pivotal time for women in music, and in the world. Let's make some noise about it!
Meet 12pm at the Gresham Centre EC1V to rehearse, or 1pm near St Paul's Cathedral to watch. All welcome. Come with your placards and your voices!
