Programme Note
The popular solo ensemble Seraphim and its conductor, Vetta Wise, are excited to be returning to London once more on 19th November! This is an opportunity to hear the “sublime sounds” of these nine female singers, conducted by Vetta Wise. They will be joined at this short concert by the renowned performers and music professors at Trinity Laban, Anna Noakes (flute) and Gabriella Dall’Olio (harp), in a seasonal programme exploring an inspiring soundscape of flute, harp and upper voices. Come and hear this magical mix of music from medieval to modern, entitled “A Mother’s Love.”
Excitingly, there will be a world first performance of a moving piece specially written for the ensemble by new composer Laura Folley. While undergoing cancer treatment - now known to have been successful - she heard Seraphim in London, and was inspired to write both the words and music of a beautiful song dedicated to her teenage daughter, scored for harp, flute and Seraphim voices..
