Seraphim: Sparkling Singers in search of “Beautiful Sounds in Beautiful Spaces”
For their next appearance in London - this time in its heart of tourism and culture - the talented upper voice ensemble, Seraphim, will be singing at St. Paul's, Covent Garden, the "Actors' Church". Directed by Vetta Wise, the singers will perform a varied programme of a cappella and accompanied works ranging from the sacred to the secular, including Palestrina, Schubert, Fauré, Tavener, and South Africans Peter Klatzow and Stephen Carletti. Some pieces recently written or arranged especially for the group will also be featured. This more informal-than-usual Seraphim concert, with accomplished Norfolk-based pianist Karen Smith, will be on Saturday 20th May at 3.30 pm. Whether singing ancient polyphony, a Hebridean traditional song or a contemporary arrangement, this dynamic group has already established a reputation for performances of quality and commitment.
