Join us on Saturday, 27th January 2024, for a mesmerising concert dedicated to the genius of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Prepare to be enchanted by the timeless melodies and harmonies as we present an exquisite lineup, featuring a renowned piano soloist Jinah Shim, all in honour of the legendary composer's birthday.
The evening will open with Mozart's captivating "Overture to Cosi fan tutte". Next, our virtuoso piano soloist will take centre stage to perform the enchanting "Concerto for Piano No.24 K491," showcasing the brilliance and depth of Mozart's compositional genius.
But the celebration doesn't stop there! We are delighted to present compositions that beautifully complement Mozart's musical legacy. We explore the breathtaking "Overture to L'Hôtellerie portugaise" by Luigi Cherubini. This captivating piece will transport you to a world of musical splendor, showcasing Cherubini's exceptional talent and artistry.
And last but not least, we will pay homage to the remarkable Spanish composer Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga with his "Symphony in D", a true gem of the classical era. Arriaga's symphony, infused with emotive melodies and symphonic grandeur, serves as a perfect tribute to the rich musical heritage that influenced and inspired Mozart himself.
