Programme Note

Music that pushes boundaries, that challenges, and that does things in new ways forms the basis of this inventive programme, with Cecelia McDowall’s 2019 Requiem as its focus. This uses the normal Requiem text along with fragments from the notebooks of Leonardo Da Vinci to create a new and exciting work.

Other music embraces a Sun, Moon and Stars theme, with beautiful and innovative music by Boulanger, Mvula and Eriks Ešenvalds.
