Programme Note

Buckingham Choral Society, Brahms A German Requiem/Mendelssohn Violin Concerto on Sat 3 Dec 16

Buckingham Choral Society’s next concert will be on Saturday 3 December 2016, 8.00 pm in Buckingham Parish Church. We will present a wonderful programme of popular choral and orchestral favourites together with the Orchestra of Stowe Opera. The concert will be conducted by the Musical Director of Buckingham Choral Society, Julian Mann.

This winter, we will be performing one of the greatest choral compositions of all time, Brahms’ A German Requiem, which will be sung in German. Joining us will be soloists from the Royal Academy of Music and the highly acclaimed Orchestra of Stowe Opera.

The Orchestra of Stowe Opera will also be performing one of the most loved of all instrumental concertos, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E Minor, showcasing young talented violinist, Cristian Grajner De Sa, who was a strings finalist on the televised BBC Young Musician of the Year 2012 Competition.
