WEST LONDON SINFONIA PRESENTS Community Concert --- Delight in Baroque Classics
One of classical music’s most beloved compositions, the most recognizable pieces of themed music ever and even those of you who are not experts on classical music will recognize it straight away, you’ll have heard it, you’ll be able to hum parts of it---- The Four Seasons composed by Vivaldi in 1723, this beautiful baroque composition for string orchestra will bring each season of the calendar year delightfully into the church hall.
Through the music, our members, led by orchestra leader Iwona Boesche will be describing the changing of seasons, depicting natural scenes and sound - singing and dancing in the autumn breeze, staying warm in front of the fireplace whilst winter chills, and then the bird calls of spring, the soft murmuring of grass and a happy peasant dance celebrating new life. After this sentimental piece, the string orchestra will be playing Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto to end this wonderful Baroque concert.
This is a community project initiated by West London Sinfonia, supported by the St. Peter’s Church W4 1BB. Concert at 6pm, Open rehearsal at 10-4pm. All are welcomed.
