Programme Note
Fresh from their appearance at the Royal Albert Hall for the spectacular world première of Pete Townshend's Classic Quadrophenia, London's most versatile choir return to more familiar ground with a concert of glorious a capella choral music, under the direction of rising star Dominic Peckham, most recently seen as a mentor in Gareth Malone's Naked Choir series on BBC2. Spanning the centuries from the 16th to the 21st, the programme balances the Tudor anthem "O Clap Your Hands" by Orlando Gibbons with modern harmonic songs by the American Stephen Paulus and Latvian Erik Ešenvalds. St Peter’s Eaton Square has long enjoyed a reputation for musical excellence, featuring some of today's finest established musicians and young stars.
