Programme Note
Following our 2018 Christmas concert, which focused specifically on Christmas Day, this performance will celebrate the traditions and rituals that have developed around the festive season. We will deck the halls, quaff wassail, hang holly and ivy, roast chestnuts and count every lord, lady, partridge and pear tree.
Alongside our traditional audience carols the programme features music by Holst, Betty Roe and Bob Chilcott. We promise a winter wonderland full of gifts, decorations, feasting and drinking. Bring your friends and family to join us for mulled wine and mince pies, and get the festive season off to a great start.
