Nottingham Concert Band returns to St Peter’s Church in Ruddington on Saturday 18 July with an eclectic programme entitled ‘From Folk to Funk!’. ‘We’ve got a few surprises up our sleeves for this event,’ admits Conductor & Music Director Robert Parker. ‘There will certainly be plenty of familiar folk tunes and references to centuries-old myths and legends. But we’ve mingled the ancient with the modern by including some fresh, upbeat numbers in order to create an imaginative - and, frankly, rather exciting - programme!’ The concert is in aid of the DEC Nepal Earthquake Appeal.
