Add to my Calendar 24-06-2023 19:30 24-06-2023 21:30 36 Mei-Ting & Friends: Mihaly Gyorfi piano 7 Star Arts presents a recital by pianist Mihály Győrfy, talented post-graduate student of Professor Mei-Ting Sun at London's Royal Academy of Music Mihály's recital opens with Davidsbündlertänze, Robert Schumann's set of 18 colourful dance pieces. After the interval, we journey east with a selection of Romanian folk dances and Hungarian peasant songs, adapted for the piano by Béla Bartók, followed by his dazzling Piano Sonata. Tickets £15 (proceeds will be donated to the Royal Academy of Music Hardship Fund) Ticket includes glass of wine / soft drink A Hungarian-born pianist, Mihály Győrfy has recorded with the Hungarian National Radio twice and performed at venues ranging from St. James’ Church Piccadilly all the way to the Fazioli Hall in Sacile, Italy. Mihály is also founder of the Holloway Music Series, a new project dedicated to bringing classical music to the north-east London area. He is currently doing his Master’s studies at the Royal Academy of Music, where he will also be performing in a concert dedicated to transcribed piano music as part of the 2023 RAM Summer Piano Festival. With prior experience in music technology, Mihály is keen to learn more about the recording process.
