London City Philharmonic presents a ballistic evening of Symphonic Dances from East and West! Bernstein's popular Symphonic Dances from West Side Story employs lively Latin rhythms from the seething streets of New York. Meanwhile, Rachmaninoff's dramatic Symphonic Dances looks to traditional Russian dance and folk music to create lush rhythmic and melodic landscapes. The concert opens with Copland's unmistakably American "Variations on a Shaker Theme" from Appalachian Spring. Join us for an evening of dances from Red Square to the Bronx!
