Programme Note

A 'hootenanny' is Highland slang for a "party" or "get-together" - a folk music party with poetry, music and song.

Tonight, acclaimed storyteller and novelist Alastair Sim recites the poetry of Scotland's greatest bard Robert Burns (including his iconic Tam O'Shanter) as award-winning concert pianist Matthew Shiel performs Scottish folk music and masterpieces of music inspired by the beauty of Scotland.

Celebrate Burn's Night in style this Thursday 25th January 2024 with an inspirational piano and poetry performance - by intimate candlelight. Sit down and be moved by the words and music of a proud nation!

A selection of Scottish confectionary and drinks will be served in the interval for the complete Scottish experience.
