Add to my Calendar 14-05-2016 19:30 14-05-2016 21:30 36 Symphonic Strings in Repton The award-winning, East Midlands-based Helix Ensemble is visiting Repton, Derbyshire on Saturday 14th May with a 'Symphonic Strings'  concert directed from the violin by Clare Bhabra in St Wystan's Church at 7.30pm.   The programme includes many well-known tunes, with  Finzi's beautiful Romance,  a short Symphony by Mendelssohn, folk songs including Greensleeves in St Paul's Suite by Holst, and Grieg's Holberg Suite, a tribute to the musical  forms  of the 18th Century.   The final piece is the Shostakovich Chamber Symphony, a dynamic  arrangement  for String Orchestra  of his Eighth Quartet.    St Wystan's Church, Repton DD/MM/YYYY
