On May 3, 2024, Mr. Hobson will continue his Schumann Cycle with a solo piano program named Counterpoints at the Tenri Cultural Institute. On May 10, 2024, Mr. Hobson will be joined by violinist Andrés Cárdenes and Jun Iwasaki, violist Csaba Erdélyi, and cellist  Ko Iwasaki in the first chamber music concert of the Schumann Cycle series, entitled Schumann for Three Four and Five.    Reviewing Mr. Hobson's Variations program in his latest Schumann Cycle concert, September 2023, Jeffrey Williams wrote: "Mr. Hobson made a compelling case for them, as he did with the Chopin set. He pulled off both sets with confident artistry, for which he deserves our admiration and gratitude." (New York Concert Review, October 1, 2023)   Harry Rolnick of Concertonet.com commented on Mr. Hobson's Humoreske in his April 2023 Schumann Cycle concert Love and Nature II, “This was also Ian Hobson at his greatest. Not monumental pianism, not pictures of corteges or romance. Rather, Mr. Hobson was able to tie each short section together, as if foreordained.” (April 21, 2023) Tenri Cultural Institute, New York DD/MM/YYYY
