Add to my Calendar 21-09-2019 10:00 21-09-2019 12:00 36 Come and Sing Elgar's The Kingdom hosted by The Elgar Chorale Seen by many as on a par with The Dream of Gerontius and one of Elgar’s greatest works, The Kingdom was conceived as the second of three oratorios, the first being The Apostles and the last was to have been The Last Judgement but was never written. The piece is full of wonderful, stirring choruses such as O Ye Priestsas well as the hushed fervour of The Lord’s Prayer. The day starts at 10am and finishes at 5pm with a performance at 4pm to which friends and family are cordially invited. Time will be spent on vocal techniques and style, and the day should suit singers across the age range from senior pupils and students to adults. Please apply preferably by 14th September to facilitate catering and music hire.
