While none of them are in any sense a Christmas song, they are all associated with one or more of the things referenced in the "The Twelve Days of Christmas". As well as mainstream lutesongs by the likes of John Dowland and Thomas Campion, the programme includes arrangements of English and Italian madrigals, French chansons, and even a Spanish guitar song.
