The programme marks the 400th anniversary of the birth of the colourful José Marín - cleric, criminal and composer - a prolific writer of guitar songs, with pieces from a manuscript of his music held at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, together with works from some contemporaries. The concert will be in the Chapel at the historic Charterhouse near the Barbican in London. NB The date was incorrectly shown as the Saturday - it has now been corrected to the Sunday (17th). A Sunday afternoon treat of songs to the baroque guitar (and lute) from late 17th century Spain, sung by Madrid-based soprano Olalla Vargas accompanied by Din Ghani.
