Programme Note
The young prize-winning Russian pianist flies direct from Italy to play and be interviewed before an audience sitting in the round. She was an outstanding semi-finalist in the 2015 Sussex International Piano Competition at Worthing and returns to be the next subject in these unusual and intimate concerts, created for Worthing Symphony Society in their support of Worthing Symphony Orchestra.
The audience is seated around the piano and the interview, which will include audience questions. Anna will play Bach’s Fantasy & Fugue in A minor (BWV944), Prokofiev’s 2nd Sonata and his ‘Mercutio’ from ‘Romeo & Juliet’, Scriabin’s Preludes (Op 16) and Poèmes (Op 32 & 69), Tchaikovsky’s ‘Scenes from a Russian Village’, and Liszt’s ‘After a Lecture on Dante’.
Student groups numbering up to 15 are free of charge when pre-booking.
