Programme Note

A FESTIVE TREAT OF SEASONAL WORDS AND MUSIC

Sunny Ormonde (Lilian from The Archers) celebrates the darkest time of the year with an exquisite weave of atmospheric, seasonal music and winter words by Dylan Thomas, Laurie Lee, Charles Dickens, Tove Jansson, Louisa May Alcott and more.*

The winter solstice represents a symbolic dividing line; that moment at the year’s end where old gives way to new, despair transforms into hope and darkness becomes light. We will illuminate the night with an offering of glorious music, and some of the finest seasonal poetry and prose.

Orchestra of the Swan and Hambletts return to Malvern following the success of Red Sky at Sunrise – with an exquisite weave of winter words and music. *G&Ts optional.
