Programme Note

Edgar Allan Poe’s poem The Raven inspired many artists and composers, expanding a musical world of darkness and deep colours. Violinist Midori Komachi (‘hugely gifted soloist of the younger generation’ –The Quarterly Review) is joined by pianist Florian Mitrea (‘stupendous virtuosity’ - Süddeutsche Zeitung), exploring the intimate connections between music, poetry and visual art. Doors open at 18:30. Food & drinks available (Pizza Express Menu) before the concert, 18:30-20:00.
