Featuring six CMF Artists, 2019 sees the residency expanded beyond the popular free lunchtime recitals to include a children’s concert, a performance for dementia sufferers, and an evening concert centered around Schubert’s ‘Trout Quintet’ with guest performer, pianist Sholto Kynoch. 2018 CMF Artist Ariana Kashefi (cello) presents the first lunchtime recital of the week with pianist Maksim Štšura. Ariana Kashefi has a wealth of experience performing solo and chamber music in venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, and Pierre Boulez Saal. Ariana is a recipient of the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Julius Isserlis Scholarship and recently completed her studies in Berlin with Professor Frans Helmerson. She is also a Park Lane Group Young Artist, a recipient of the Making Music Award for Young Concert Artists and a Talent Unlimited artist. In 2018 she was a prize winner in the International Rubinstein competition in Berlin and a finalist In the Pierre Fournier Award, which took place at Wigmore Hall in London. Ariana frequently performs as soloist with orchestras and this season includes concertos with the Narva Symphony Orchestra (Estonia), North London Symphony Orchestra, and the Janus Ensemble. As an orchestral musician, Ariana has also worked with the London Symphony Orchestra and has been invited on several tours with the Mahler Chamber orchestra. Wallace Collection, London DD/MM/YYYY
