Programme Note

A mesmerising evening of Scarlatti, Bach and Brahms from one of the world’s leading pianists.

Angela Hewitt gave her first public performance at the age of four and won her first scholarship aged 5. Since then, she has gained countless awards including an OBE for services to music. Her recitals and appearances with major orchestras have thrilled audiences in Europe, the Americas and Asia.

Angela’s award-winning Hyperion recording of all Bach’s major keyboard works is ‘one of the record glories of our age’ (The Sunday Times).

Join us to experience music by three great composers performed by a superb musician. Known as one of the foremost interpreters of Bach, Angela is ‘truly a woman who can play Brahms, too’ (The Guardian).
