Programme Note
Our final concert of the season features orchestral, vocal and choral music from some of the greats of Italian opera. The programme will include excerpts from Verdi’s Nabucco, Il Trovatore and La Traviata, and Puccini’s La Bohème and Tosca, including a semi-staged performance of the tragic Act 3.

WSO has performed previous Opera Gala concerts, including French opera and a Wagner evening, to popular and critical acclaim, and this evening promises to be an equally not-to-be-missed occasion.
This concert is held in association with Wirral Hospice St John’s and proceeds will go towards their invaluable work in helping people affected by life-limiting illness.
