Programme Note
Friends of the Vox is a Kent-based charity committed to promoting and encouraging community through the power of choral music on a local, national and global stage.
James Meaders - Conductor
Dr James M. Meaders is the Artistic Advisor to Friends of the Vox, Founder and Artistic Director of Vox Anima London, and conductor of Vox Anima Chamber Choir (SSAA) and Vox Populi (SATB) - two ensembles that promote and perform the repertoire of today’s composers. He also conducts the Hurst Green Singers in Surrey and has a vocal studio of private students.
Richard Hammond-Hall - Pianist
Richard Hammond-Hall is an empathetic, intuitive, and versatile accompanist. He has collaborated with some of the UK’s leading young singers and instrumentalists and enjoys a busy schedule as an experienced choral accompanist.

Our wonderful soloists for this event are also members of our auditioned upper-voice choir, Vox Anima Chamber Choir.
Vox Populi
Founded in West Malling in 2017, Vox Populi is a non-auditioned SATB choir which primarily promotes and performs the music of living composers. The choir meets weekly and performs twice a year.
It is an intergenerational choir and there is strong emphasis on community outreach. The Choir often collaborates with other locally-based choral organisations, as well as providing bursaries to talented students in full-time education.
