Programme Note
What better to spend a summer’s evening than listening to classic choruses and arias from some of the world’s favourite operas? Join Hertfordshire Chorus for a special evening with conductor David Temple, our splendid soloists Claire Wild and Alexander James Edwards and accompanist Rufus Frowde in what will be an emotional and uplifting summer concert to remember.
Claire Wild was recently described ‘steals the show as a spirited and sassy Susanna, a first-class actress with a rich soprano and superb projection, crisply convincing at all times with her beautifully enunciated Italian’. Alexander James Edwards was lauded by the Telegraph as ‘one of the UK’s best-loved tenors’ and is a regular with all the top English operatic societies and orchestras across the world. Rufus Frowde, our accompanist, has also played for celebrity and royal weddings and he has accompanied several top conductors and instrumentalists.
